I am writing to ask you to support a private member's bill (sponsored by Parry Sound - Muskoka MPP Norm Miller) to pave all shoulders of provincial roads to a width of 1 metre. This measure would increase cyclist and driver safety and enhance Ontario as an active transportation and cycling tourism destination. With the growing interest in sustainable or "green" tourism- as called for in York Region's Tourism Plan- as well as the need to make our roads safer for everyone, this bill is worthy of all party support.
As a voter in name your provincial riding, and one who supported you/or not in the last election, I hope I can now count on your support for this important bill.
